September 16, 2021 – The ARM (Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing) Institute has been recognized as a Tech50 Finalist by the Pittsburgh Technology Council for the fourth consecutive year. This year, the ARM Institute is recognized in the “Innovator of the Year: Non-Profit/Education/Community” category.
Marking its 25th year in 2021, the Annual Tech50 celebrates the top-fifty member companies of the Pittsburgh Technology Council, across technology-focused industries. The program reviews accomplishments from the past year to determine finalists. Among many other achievements, in the past year, the ARM Institute launched RoboticsCareer.org – a national capability that connects education seekers with training for manufacturing careers working with robotics, endorsed five robotics education programs through the Institute’s new Endorsement Program, initiated nine pandemic-focused robotics projects to mitigate COVID-19 and prepare the nation to respond to future crises, hosted the institute’s first virtual Member Meeting in October 2020, and grew its membership base to more than 300 organizations.
