ARM Institute Marks Eight Years of Impact

January 15, 2025

Full ARM Institute Team Photo

January 2025 marked eight years since the ARM Institute was officially created as the robotics, AI, and workforce development-focused Department of Defense Manufacturing Innovation Institute (MII) part of the Manufacturing USA network! Eight years and hundreds of projects, solutions, and initiatives later, we’re honored to have more than 450 member organizations collaborating with us on our mission to lead the way to a future where people and robots work together to respond to our nation’s greatest challenges and to develop and produce the world’s most desired products. With a robust network of subject matter experts across industry, government, and academia working with us, there’s even more progress and impact on the horizon!

At a glance, since our inception in 2017, the ARM Institute has:

  • Built a national member consortium of 450 organizations spanning industry, government, and academia
  • Catalyzed more than 120 robotics, AI, and workforce development projects
  • Launched key national resources, including RoboticsCareer.org to empower and build our manufacturing robotics workforce and the Robotics Manufacturing Hub to help small and medium-sized robotics explore and adopt robotics
  • Hosted innumerable visits by national leaders
