Engage with ARM at the 2019 Manufacturing & Technology Show

April 1-3 in Pittsburgh, PA

ARM is pleased to welcome IndustryWeek’s 2019 Manufacturing & Technology Show to Pittsburgh! Since its initial planning stages, ARM has collaborated closely with event planners in guiding the content and direction of this event. The M&T show will showcase what’s new and next in manufacturing and how advancements in technology continue to shape the manufacturing ecosystem. Below, we’ve broken out the various ways you can engage with ARM during the show.

“We are thrilled to have worked so closely with IndustryWeek on bringing their Manufacturing & Technology Show to Pittsburgh,” noted ARM CEO, Dr. Byron Clayton, “As a national consortium, we are always looking for ways to leverage our expertise to benefit the region as well as our members. Working with IndustryWeek gave us the perfect opportunity to highlight the great technology work being done in Pittsburgh.”

Note: ARM Members can take advantage of discounted registration for this conference by logging into the ARM Member Community. Once in the Community, visit the events tab to access the discount code.

Monday, April 1

ARM CEO, Dr. Byron Clayton, will open the conference alongside Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto and Bill Flanagan, historian and Chief Corporate Relations Officer for the Allegheny Conference.  The address, taking place at 4:00 pm, will feature a discussion on the current state of Pittsburgh’s technology climate with a look back at the city’s industrial past.

Tuesday, April 2

Suzy Teele, ARM Head of Marketing & Communications, will be a panelist for the Women in STEM Luncheon alongside ARM Board Member, Petra Mitchell, and other industry leaders. The luncheon will explore both the challenges and the opportunities for females in STEM. Panelists will also discuss how the manufacturing workforce gap affects diversity in the workplace.

Wednesday, April 3

Join Dr. Byron Clayton and Dr. Steve Catt (ARM Deputy Director, Education & Workforce Development) for the panel: Robotics & the Future of American Manufacturing: Debunking Automation and Workforce Myths. There’s no doubt that automation will change manufacturing jobs, but will human workers be replaced by robots? This panel explores how robots will aid human workers by taking on the dull, repetitive, and dangerous tasks while creating new, engaging career opportunities for humans in manufacturing.

Additionally, on all three days of the conference you can connect with ARM staff in the exhibit area at booth 311. Visit our booth to learn more about membership, ask questions, and more.
