What Can You Expect During Our Event?
Agenda & What’s New
Our full agenda is now available to members on our registration page! Log into the Member Community to access the agenda or email [email protected] for assistance. Some new highlights and activities for this year will include:
- NEW Tech Project Call: We recently issued a new Tech Project Call in support of our AI Data Foundry Program, which seeks to make AI in robotics for manufacturing more accessible. The Project Call centers on the creation of AI-based tools that can be integrated together, synergistically, and that can transition to industry practice. During our Member Meeting, we will host activities to help our members prepare competitive responses to this Project Call, including networking time for project teaming, Project Call overview and Q&A, and the opportunity to meet in private 1:1s with the ARM Tech Team to discuss your project ideas.
- AI Competency Framework Activity: During our third day Education & Workforce Development concurrent session, we will host an interactive session around creating an AI competency framework for robotics careers in manufacturing. This framework will join our existing frameworks on RoboticsCareer.org, providing much needed definition into the skills and training required for these careers.
- Indoor/Outdoor Networking Reception at our Pittsburgh HQ: This year’s reception at our Pittsburgh HQ will feature more space as it will take place inside and outside under the iconic structure of our building. Inside, you will be able to explore AI robotics demonstrations and demonstrations from our Robotics Manufacturing Hub.
Plenary Sessions Complemented by Two Concurrent Focused Tracks
Bridging the divides between technology efforts and education/workforce development (EWD) efforts is foundational to the ARM Institute’s success. We will again feature plenary sessions and complement the general sessions with concurrent Technology and Education & Workforce Development Tracks in the afternoons of September 24 and September 25 to allow for focused collaboration in these areas. If you are interested in both tracks, we suggest sending two representatives.
Champion Awards
The ARM Institute Champion Awards recognize individual members who have gone above and beyond to advocate for and further the ARM Institute’s mission. ARM Champions are recognized with an award in-person during our Annual Member Meeting. This year’s celebration of our Champions will be an even more significant part of our event, as our first night dinner and reception will celebrate our awardees.
There is also an opportunity for a member organization to sponsor our Champion Awards Celebration! As the sole sponsor of our Champion Awards, this organization will get to be on stage with Jay Douglass, ARM Institute Chief Operating Officer, to hand awards to new ARM Champions. Their logo will also be displayed during our awards dinner and they will be mentioned in our post-event press release with a quote, featured in our event program, and will have the opportunity to provide material to be distributed to Members. Email [email protected] to explore this opportunity further.
Technology Demonstrations & Networking Reception at Our Pittsburgh Facility
Explore our Robotics Manufacturing Hub and other technology demonstrations during our networking reception at our Pittsburgh facility! You’ll be able to get hands-on with our robotics demonstrations and understand how members and manufacturers alike can leverage our Robotics Manufacturing Hub.
We will provide a free shuttle from the Wyndham Grand Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh (our primary meeting location) to our facility on September 24 and will host an indoor/outdoor reception with dinner being served on-site.
Five Minute Rapid Introductions
We will again host our five minute rapid introductions, an immensely popular part of our Annual Member Meeting. We have a limited number of slots and members can indicate their interest in these when registering. These introductions serve as a rapid-fire way to introduce your organization to our 400+ member organization consortium.
Note: Due to the popularity of these sessions, this year we are prioritizing organizations who have not provided a five minute overview at a prior Member Meeting or through our virtual New Member Exchange series. Indicating your interest in presenting does not guarantee you a slot. We will be in contact at a later date to confirm whether you have been given a slot. If you have not been given a slot but indicated interest, you will be added to a wait list.
Of course, we will continue to host virtual versions of these five-minute introductions during our quarterly New Member Exchange series. Stay tuned for the next date!
Even More Networking
You provided feedback and we’re responding! In response to attendee feedback, our event will feature additional networking breaks and more networking activities to better help our members get connected. Stay tuned for our full agenda to learn more.
