Robotics Manufacturing Hub Named Programming of the Year

December 13, 2025

The ARM Institute’s Robotics Manufacturing Hub was recently awarded Technical.ly Pittsburgh’s Programming of the Year Award! More than 4,000 individuals voted in the overall awards to recognize the region’s most impactful products, projects, and experts.

Our Robotics Manufacturing Hub program helps to put robotics into the hands of local manufacturers who otherwise wouldn’t have the necessary resources, funds, or time to adopt this tech. Small and medium sized manufacturers in the SW PA region qualify for free, grant-funded services through the Robotics Manufacturing Hub until September 2026. We also help manufacturers of all sizes throughout the nation with our Automation Assessment service! Get started today with the links below or email us at [email protected] to learn more about either effort.

“Only 12% of small and medium-sized manufacturers globally have adopted robotics in any form. That’s not for a lack of interest,” Livia Rice, the ARM Institute’s Director of Outreach and Engagement, told Technical.ly, “Our Robotics Manufacturing Hub program gives manufacturers of all sizes the resources and support they need to implement robotics and AI solutions to enhance their global competitiveness.”

Upcoming Robotics Manufacturing Hub Workshop: Robotic Machine Tending

Want to learn more about the Robotics Manufacturing Hub? On February 25, we will host another free workshop for manufacturers in partnership with ARM Member Catalyst Connection!

Robotic machine tending has the potential to boost your efficiency, reduce your waste, and augment your workforce gaps, among other benefits, but how do you get started? Our workshop will take you through tangible use cases, best practices, resources available to help you get started, and more. This is not a sales event – you’ll leave with tangible best practices and lessons learned to help you increase your business opportunities and enhance your operations.

Our workshop, featuring expert-led panels, an exhibit hall of suppliers, and live robotics demos, will answer common questions, including:

  • How to know if you’re ready to explore robotic machine tending and what benefits you can expect to achieve from it
  • The Do’s and Don’ts of integrating robotic machine tending into your existing operations
  • Is lights-out manufacturing possible
  • Is your existing workforce ready and prepared for robotic machine tending and how you can get your workforce ready
  • How to keep your machine tending system fed
  • What’s new in the robotic machine tending market and what’s been tried and tested

This will be a hybrid event – register to join us in-person at our Pittsburgh headquarters or register to tune in virtually!
