Suzy Teele, ARM Institute Chief Strategy Officer, Named to A3’s Robotics Technology Strategy Board
As an elected member of the Robotics Technology Strategy Board, Suzy will leverage her expertise and leadership to provide input into A3’s strategy.
January 7, 2025 – Suzy Teele, ARM Institute Chief Strategy Officer, was recently nominated for and named to ARM Member A3 – the Association for Advancing Automation’s Robotics Technology Strategy Board. This board provides strategic direction to A3 and helps the organization stay on top of industry trends and needs. Directors on the board demonstrate expertise in their fields, hold positions of industry leadership, and have a strong desire and commitment to selflessly help the robotics industry. They are elected by the membership to serve two-year terms.
In her role as the ARM Institute’s Chief Strategy Officer, Suzy drives the ARM Institute’s overall strategy related to new programs, outreach efforts, stakeholder strategy, and partnership activities. Joining the ARM Institute in 2017, Suzy Teele was integral to the launch of the institute and has been instrumental in growing its consortium of more than 450 organizations committed to strengthening U.S. manufacturing through innovations in advanced manufacturing technology, particularly robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), and preparing the workforce to operate these technologies. She also leads the ARM Institute’s satellite office in the Tampa Bay region of Florida, managing key partnerships and strategic activities in the Florida region.
Suzy has over thirty years of experience in technology-based business strategy, product commercialization, customer acquisition and retention, marketing, sales, and business development. Suzy was an executive at several international software companies, driving strategic revenue growth in roles that included General Manager, COO and CMO.
A graduate of Indiana University of PA (IUP), Suzy has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumni and has been inducted into the IUP Business Hall of Fame. She is also a board member of the IUP Research Institute. Other accolades include a Greater Pittsburgh Athena Award finalist and Businesswomen First Award. Suzy helped to start the Pittsburgh Chapter of WELD (Women for Economic and Leadership Development) and has coached many women-owned businesses.

Suzy joins a plethora of industry leaders on A3’s Robotics Technology Strategy board, including representatives from several ARM Institute Member organizations: 3M, FANUC, ABB, ATI, Festo, AMT, and Yaskawa. The ARM Institute has also been a proud member of A3 since 2017 with the two organizations collaborating frequently and helping to further each other’s missions.
