THE PURPOSE 

Our Tech Day events are open to all experience levels, from members working on their first proposal to those who have already completed an ARM project. The event is free to attend, but open to members-only. ARM Tech Days help you build a strong proposal. We accomplish this through a few main activities:

PROJECT CALL OVERVIEW

We typically begin Tech Day with an overview of the drafted project call document. At this time, the project call is still in its draft format and open to modifications. The final version of the call is publicly released shortly after Tech Day. Because the call is still in draft format, attendees have the opportunity to ask specific questions about the call content at our event. Following the release of the final call, we enter a black-out period and can only answer logistical questions about submitting proposals.

ARM TECH TEAM 1:1s

Meet with the ARM Technical Leadership Team to discuss your ideas and proposal. Sign-ups are limited and offered online prior to the event. After you sign up, you will get randomly assigned to meet with either Arnie Kravitz (ARM CTO) or Chuck Brandt (ARM Deputy Director, Technology Development).

EXPERTISE PRESENTATIONS 

Sign up for present a 5-10 minute overview of your capabilities and interest areas as they align with the project call. This agenda item allows you to present to the entire group. Space is limited and sign-ups can be completed in the registration form.

MATCH-MAKING

The ARM Member network is critical to the success of our projects, bridging gaps between industry, academia, and government to facilitate more effective collaboration. Use the Members tab in the Community to find and connect with potential teammates from our 220+ member organizations. You can search by organization name, area of expertise, location, and other fields. Also be sure to update your profile so that you’re searchable.

NETWORKING

Our Tech Day events include ample time for networking. We provide a confidential list of attendees to all Tech Day participants to facilitate more effective team-building. We also have knowledgeable ARM staff on-site to aid in making introductions.

ARM-TEC-20-01 TECH DAY

Our 20-01 Tech Day will take place March 3 (full meeting day) with an evening reception on March 2 in San Antonio, TX on SwRI’s campus. Notable about 20-01 is the increase from 8 to 12 topic areas with five newly identified market opportunities.

The ROS-I Annual Meeting directly follows Tech Day in the same location. Members are encouraged to attend the ROS-I Annual Meeting and can access a discount code for 20% off registration. Thank you to ARM Member SwRI for hosting us!
