Overview of Robotics Capabilities at Our Facility

Our facility is agile and ever-evolving to showcase and make available the latest robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. We utilize a combination of industrial robotics and collaborative robots (cobots), as well as robotics enabled with artificial intelligence (AI) to work on the following manufacturing application areas and others:

  • Assembly
  • Inspection
  • Vision
  • Material Removal & Handling
  • Pick-and-Place
  • Welding
  • Sanding, Grinding, & Polishing

We also have 3D printing capabilities that allow us to print test parts, as well as pieces for robot end effectors. Our team also has software solutions to simulate, design, and model robotics systems.

Because our lab is easily reconfigured, our proof-of-concept process is fully customized to each manufacturer.

Benefits for Equipment Providers

Companies that provide equipment to our Robotics Manufacturing Hub receive valuable connections to potential customers and visibility through a high-number of visits and tours. Manufacturers have also been known to rapidly purchased equipment that they saw during their tour of our facility.

Below is a brief outline showing how we bring visibility to equipment providers:

  • 400+ person Annual ARM Institute Member Meeting taking place in the fall
  • Two targeted Robotics Manufacturing Hub workshops per year (average of 80 attendees at each)
  • 8-10 tours per month with manufacturers and various manufacturing stakeholders
  • Additional special events and visits by influential leaders from across the Department of Defense, other government entities, and across manufacturing

Thank you to the following organizations for providing equipment for use at our facility: ORBBEC, DENSO, PushCorp, FANUC, and Yaskawa.

Bring Robotics Manufacturing Hub Capabilities to Your Location

Interested in bringing the Robotics Manufacturing Hub to your location? While the Robotics Manufacturing Hub already operates nationally, the ARM Institute envisions expanding our physical labs nationwide, creating a hub-and-spoke model to help manufacturers in any location get hands-on with robotics and AI solutions.

If you’re interested in bringing Robotics Manufacturing Hub capabilities to your existing facility (or even a planned facility), contact us using the form below and a representative from our team will be in touch to gather more information.
