Overview of Robotics Capabilities at Our Facility

Our facility is agile and ever-evolving to showcase and make available the latest robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. We utilize a combination of industrial robotics and collaborative robots (cobots), as well as robotics enabled with artificial intelligence (AI) to work on the following manufacturing application areas and others:

  • Assembly
  • Inspection
  • Vision
  • Material Removal & Handling
  • Pick-and-Place
  • Welding
  • Sanding, Grinding, & Polishing

We also have 3D printing capabilities that allow us to print test parts, as well as pieces for robot end effectors. Our team also has software solutions to simulate, design, and model robotics systems.

Because our lab is easily reconfigured, our proof-of-concept process is fully customized to each manufacturer.

Bring Robotics Manufacturing Hub Capabilities to Your Location

Interested in bringing the Robotics Manufacturing Hub to your location? While the Robotics Manufacturing Hub already operates nationally, the ARM Institute envisions expanding our physical labs nationwide, creating a hub-and-spoke model to help manufacturers in any location get hands-on with robotics and AI solutions.

If you’re interested in bringing Robotics Manufacturing Hub capabilities to your existing facility (or even a planned facility), email us at [email protected] and a representative from our team will be in touch to gather more information.

Request a Visit to Our Facility

Because we get so many requests to visit and take tours of our facility, we prioritize manufacturers and stakeholders who are interested in using our Robotics Manufacturing Hub to solve their challenges. Email us at [email protected] to request a visit. All other visit requests are subject to more limited availability.

Co-Located Partners at Our Facility

We are co-located in Mill 19A with Carnegie Mellon University’s Manufacturing Futures Institute (MFI) on the first and second floors of the building. ARM Member and close collaborator Catalyst Connection, a Pennsylvania Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), is located on the third floor of the building.
