10 Reasons to Attend the Member Meeting: #7 Project Updates

October 5, 2018

We are looking forward to convening the nation’s leading robotics, manufacturing, and education/workforce development experts from across the country in Pittsburgh in 36 days at our National Member Meeting. Our agenda, which can be accessed in the Member Community, includes sessions for new members, stakeholder feedback, networking opportunities, council and committee meetings, important ARM updates, and more. This week, our reason to attend focuses on our active projects

Reason #7 to Attend: Project Updates

ARM projects bridge the critical gap between industry, government, and academia. By teaming experts from these fields, our projects capitalize on the greatest talent assets in our ecosystem. Since we met last November, we’ve made significant progress with our active projects. Over the past year, our Quick Start Teams have made sizable progress and we’ve announced our first funded education/workforce development projects, as well as a new set of Technology Projects derived from our Fall 2017 Call. In the Spring of 2018, we also released a Supplemental Project Call that repeated the fall topic areas with the addition of a software topic.

At our Member Meeting, you’ll hear more about our projects directly from our Technology and Education/Workforce Teams both in formal sessions and through interactive poster displays during our networking receptions. The project updates session is imperative because it allows our members to better understand the technologies and workforce innovations that will be available to them once completed and how these project outputs will transform U.S. manufacturing. Additionally, these updates help to inform members on what ARM looks for when selecting projects to fund and see the see the success that occurs through strategic collaboration.

You can learn more about our project call process, active projects, and selected projects ahead of the Member Meeting here.

Reminder: Registration is now open for our National Member Meeting and can be accessed through the ARM Community by selecting “Member Meeting” from the top navigation. Participation is complimentary and only open to members, but pre-registration is required. Not a member, but interested in attending? Click here to learn how to join.
