10 Reasons to Attend the Member Meeting: #3 Stakeholder Session

September 7, 2018

Registration for the ARM Member Meeting will open early next week! Our registration page information will include a full agenda, hotel room block, and the steps that you should take in the Member Community to take advantage of new ways to connect with other members before and during the meeting.

As we approach the member meeting, we’ve been highlighting various reasons to attend, like networking and our new member session. This week’s reason is focused on a critical way that your organization’s voice can be heard – a Stakeholder specific session.

Reason 3: Stakeholder Feedback Session

During the meeting, we will hold a session specific to our stakeholder contacts. As our members know, the stakeholder representative is designated in your membership agreement and, as the primary point of contact, this representative has enhanced opportunities to influence ARM on behalf of your organization. Not necessarily part of a council or committee, this person acts the voice for your organization’s participation in ARM when it comes to general membership activities. For example, our stakeholders vote and provide input on policy changes, influencing the way ARM structures its membership.

As a member-driven organization, input from each organization is imperative to ARM. This session will involve live polling, an explanation about what it means to be a stakeholder, and an opportunity to voice concerns and ideas. Since ARM plans to make modifications to its membership structure for the next fiscal year, this session is critical to voicing your opinions so we can propose changes that benefit you, as a member.

Note: If you are a member and do not know who your designated stakeholder is, please email [email protected].

Our member meeting engages more than 200 leaders in the robotics, manufacturing, and education/workforce development ecosystems. Participation is open only to members and is complimentary. Not a member, but interested in attending? Click here to learn how to join.
