Livia Rice, ARM Institute Senior Outreach Manager, has been recognized with a Pittsburgh Business Times 30 Under 30 award! The annual 30 Under 30 awards recognize young business and community leaders in the Pittsburgh region who are already making an impact, all before reaching the age of 30.
Livia Rice joined the ARM Institute in 2017, just a few months after its creation. She began working as the ARM Institute’s marketing coordinator, then later as its marketing and communications manager, building the fledgling organization’s brand and organizing its annual national member meeting. Now, Livia serves as senior outreach manager at the organization, where she continues to lead and direct large-scale marketing and communications projects.
When Livia joined the ARM Institute, the robotics Institute had only eight employees, no members, no website, few processes and lacked a consistent brand. Today, the ARM Institute has 30+ staff members, a state-of-the-art facility at Mill 19, 120+ robotics and workforce projects, 380+ member organizations and an award-winning brand. Livia’s work has been critical to the ARM Institute’s growth. She consistently steps out of her formal job description to help the ARM Institute grow.
Among her many responsibilities, Livia leads all marketing, communications, and outreach work for the ARM Institute, manages the Annual ARM Member Meeting, and leads many other special projects, which included work writing the ARM Institute’s piece of the successful Build Back Better Regional Challenge grant part of the Southwestern Pennsylvania New Economy Collaborative. She is the ARM Institute’s fourth longest tenured team member.
“We are so proud that the Pittsburgh Business Times has recognized the contributions and impact that our Senior Outreach Manager, Livia Rice, has made to the success of the ARM Institute. Simply put, without her intelligence, commitment, and passion for our region (especially the Steelers), the ARM Institute would not be what we are today. Congratulations and thank you, Livia!” – Suzy Teele, ARM Institute Chief Strategy Officer
