(May 2, 2018, Pittsburgh, PA) Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) today announced the launch of its online member community. ARM is a member-driven, public-private partnership, partially funded by the Department of Defense, whose mission is to aid in the growth of the U.S. manufacturing economy by accelerating innovations in industrial robotics technology and supporting the creation of high-value manufacturing jobs.
The ARM Member Community, available online via login from ARM’s home page, provides a place for ARM’s 150+ members to connect and engage on a variety of topics to build teams, share information, and support project activities. ARM’s project calls will also be managed within the Community.
“ARM’s mission is to grow a national ecosystem, together with our members from academia, research, industry, technology, and government, focused on increasing the use of robotics in manufacturing”, stated Jay Douglass, ARM Chief Operating Officer. “The ARM Member Community will play a significant role in connecting our members nationwide in support of this mission.”
Added Debra Franklin, Director of Strategic University Initiatives at Wichita State University (WSU), “The ARM Member Community will help WSU engage with members throughout the nation to share insights and accomplishments, build relationships, collaborate on projects, and actively participate in the impact that our collaborative can make on the technology and workforce development issues facing U.S. manufacturing.”
